Durham is home to Research Triangle Park and Duke and North Carolina Central universities. It is the core of a seven-county metropolitan area and the apex of the Research Triangle Region with Chapel Hill and Raleigh.
Home to Duke University, N.C. Central University and Durham Technical Community College, Durham provides immediate access to major interstate highways, as well as Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
Durham is an hour's drive from the Triad region of Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point. It is two hours from Charlotte.
Durham is three hours from the beautiful North Carolina mountains and two hours from the famous Tar Heel coastline.
