Durham JobLink Ex-Offender Program

Overview

The JobLink Ex-Offender Program provides individualized assistance with career counseling and employment search and retention for eligible ex-offenders to aid in their transition as responsible members of the community and workforce.

Benefits

The following benefits are offered to eligible participants:

  • Employment Counseling
Our professional counselors take the time to learn your individual needs and provide guidance from the beginning to help you become acclimated to the community and job market. Aptitude/proficiency testing is available as individually determined.

  • Employment Search Orientations/Workshops
Workshops are conducted to provide assistance with searching for employment including resume writing, completing an application, interviewing skills and utilizing community resources.

  • Placement Services
Uncertain of the workplace or what will be expected of you to be successful? Our counselors are here to help you learn and develop the necessary skills to gain and retain employment. We can assist with your understanding of time management, conflict resolution, common policies and procedures within the workplace and accessing legitimate means of income.

Opportunities for training within locally deemed growth occupations may also be available and are determined on an individual basis.
