  • The Small Business Advisory Committee of the City's Office of Economic and Workforce Development will host 20 international delegates for a Multi-Regional: Small Business Development in the United States forum. The event is in collaboration with the International Visitors Council of North Carolina and is sponsored through the U.S. Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program. The forum will feature a panel discussion on small business funding with discussion on the variety of lending options available to small business owners, and how investment in expanding business ventures leads to the creation of job opportunities. Panelists will include representatives from Sustainable Jobs Funds, the North Carolina Rural Economic Development Center, Self-Help, the North Carolina Credit Union Division of the N.C. Department of Commerce, the N.C. Institute of Minority Economic Development, Bull City Forward, Natural Investment Fund and RBC Centura.
