The below applications for permit have been placed on this site for your convenience. The permit application forms must be viewed and printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader, it may be downloaded from www.adobe.com.
Complete the form and either mail or fax it to City/County Inspections Department, 101 City Hall Plaza, N.C., 27701, fax: (919) 560-4484. The permit cannot be processed without payment. The form on the Web site is an application only. You will be contacted when the permit has been issued.
You may then come to the Inspections Department on the ground floor of City Hall to obtain the permit and pay the permit fee.
No work may commence without having first obtained the permit. If you are a licensed contractor who is billed by the City, you will be contacted when your permit has been issued.
