ComNET (Computerized Neighborhood Environment Tracking) - Tracking System (handheld computer with built-in digital camera) that enables community organizations and city departments to capture street level conditions (pot holes, illegal dumping, vacant houses, weekly lots, etc.) which are later recorded, prioritized, and reported to the appropriate city department.
This technology is currently being used in New York City, Philadelphia, Seattle, Des Moines, Worcester, and serveral other cities.
ComNET is managed by the Neighborhood Improvement Services located at 807 East Main Street, Suite 2-300, Durham NC, 27701. This office is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. For more information, call 560-1647 ext. 34246
