Mark your calendar for Saturday, December 5, to join Durham Parks and Recreation and officially begin the holiday season with the City of Durham’s Annual Holiday Parade. The parade will kick-off at 4 p.m. on the corner of Blackwell and Jackie Robinson Streets at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park and American Tobacco Historic District.
Bring your family and friends to enjoy live entertainment. Take in the sparkle of lighted floats, and cheer on bands, drill teams, schools, non-profit organizations, elected officials and corporate participants as they make their way through downtown Durham. The event will culminate with a tree lighting ceremony, entertainment and much more!
At the age of five, Cool John Ferguson was playing church music professionally, often outshining musicians 10 times his age. Coupled with the willingness to play with anybody, any time, in any style, familiar or not, he possesses formidable skills that are making him a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
