The Durham Open Space and Trails Commission (DOST) advises the City Council and the Board of Commissioners on matters relating to open space preservation and trail development while involving and educating all segments of the Durham community. The commission consists of eight members appointed by both the City Council and Board of Commissioners, four elected or appointed officials, and up to 10 members appointed by the commission. The commission has committees that meet on a monthly or as-needed basis: Trails, Matching Grants, Development Review, Community Education/Newsletter, Finance, Open Space, and Nominations.
The DOST Commission meets on the third Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m. in the Committee Room, Second Floor, Durham City Hall, 101 City Hall Plaza.
