The City of Durham Public Works Department is hosting a public information meeting about the Ellerbe Creek Watershed Improvement Project on November 19, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. in the Ground Floor Planning Conference Room GA of City Hall. This meeting is intended to present the results of the watershed evaluation and discuss the preliminary recommendations for the draft Ellerbe Creek Watershed Management Implementation Plan. Modeling tools and results used to develop the draft plan will be demonstrated.
The goals of this project are to revitalize the health of Ellerbe Creek and comply with water quality regulations. Citizen input is an important component in shaping and prioritizing the watershed restoration projects.
