2009 Mayor's Youth Works Job Fair

The Mayor’s Summer Youth Work Program offers Durham youth the opportunity to gain work experience and develop skills while connecting with City and County governments. Previous summer job opportunities have been available in Parks and Recreation, Workforce Development, Neighborhood Improvement Services, Human Resources, General Services, Inspections and the Fire Department. Private sector positions are also available through a partnership with North Carolina Central University, Durham County Criminal Justice Center, Social Services and General Services, the YMCA, Chick-fil-A on Hillsborough Road, Food Lion, the American Tobacco Historic District, the Washington Duke Inn and the R. David Thomas Center.
