The Family Focus Initiative
The Durham County Department of Social Services began a strategic planning process in 2006 using the Results Based Accountability model. The agency has prepared its first quarterly report to document its progress.

The annual report of the Results Based Accountability Initiative is a means to measure our progress over time and prompt policy change to increase community-wide progress. More importantly, it is a tool to keep citizens informed of our efforts to make positive and accountable change. With the energy, drive and talent we have in Durham, and with all of us working together under the RBA umbrella, we know that we will be able to achieve success.
Imagine Durham is our Results Based Accountability (RBA) initiative; a community-wide effort to improve the quality of life in the city and county of Durham. Citizens develop and implement strategies that allow us to measure our progress in the nine outcome areas listed above.
