Finance
The Finance Department assists the City Council, City Manager and City Departments with the management of financial resources and activities including debt and cash management, payroll, vendor payment, financial reporting, purchasing, general billing and revenue collection. Finance staff also coordinate risk management and safety activities including claims administration and employee safety programs.

The Durham Youth Commission was created to actively involve youth in policy issues affecting youth, broaden the scope of youth leadership in Durham affairs, promote experimental learning on the functions of government, develop good civic leadership for the future of the community, and, most importantly, to promote public awareness of the strengths and abilities of youth.

Police
