Public Hearings

Public hearings allow residents to comment on current issues involving the City. Public hearings are advertised and placed on the agenda for the City Council, board, committee, or commission meeting where they will be discussed.

City Council Meeting & Work Session Notice

  • Starting March 7, City Council will return to in-person regular meetings and work sessions in Council Chambers at 101 City Hall Plaza. 
  • Residents are encouraged to continue to participate virtually. Indoor masks are not required, but in-person participants are encouraged to wear one if it makes them feel more comfortable. City staff will continue wearing masks inside City facilities until March 21.

  • Durham Television Network (Spectrum Channel 8, Google Fiber Channel 8, Frontier Channel 70, and AT&T Uverse Channel 99)

  • *The option to speak in person only applies to City Council meetings and work sessions which take place in City Council Chambers, 1st Floor, 101 City Hall Plaza.
  • The public is encouraged to participate virtually using the instructions provided above.
  • To speak in person, sign up by using the "Speaker’s List" card located at the City Clerk’s desk in City Council Chambers prior to the start of the meeting.
