Partnership Request Form

Thank you for your interest in partnering with the Durham Police Department (DPD). Complete this form so that DPD administrators can understand the nature and scope of your proposed event/initiative. The information you provide will help staff determine if your special event/initiative aligns with current priorities, timelines, benchmarks and resources - both staffing and fiscal. Ideally, DPD seeks partnerships that offer the department the most effective and efficient prospects to achieve its mission, vision, strategic goals and current priorities.

Existing commitments and departmental events, available staffing and fiscal resources also impact whether a request is approved. It is important to note that in addition to DPD’s own special events and initiatives throughout the year, the department receives numerous requests each month for special events and collaborative partnerships from community groups.

Ideally, completed requests should be received by the department no later than 12 weeks (3 months) in advance of the proposed event date or initiative start time. This lead time allows for required internal review of the request; information gathering and research as necessary; and scheduling of staff. Also be aware of the possibility that emergencies can potentially impact staff accessibility and scheduling.

For information, email Kimberle Walker, or call  (919) 560-4322 ext. 29194.
