Project Description

The City of Durham is seeking to determine the amount and condition of stormwater infrastructure located on City-owned property, specifically within parks, on trails, and within cemeteries.  At this time the City departments who manage these facilities are responsible for the inventory and maintenance of stormwater infrastructure associated with the facilities (examples: Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for catch basins in parks and on trails; General Services Department is responsible for ditches in cemeteries).  The City intends to shift responsibility for stormwater infrastructure in these areas to the Public Works Department over the next six years. The first step in this transfer is an inventory and condition assessment of the stormwater infrastructure associated with parks, trails, and cemeteries.
