This project involves the design of sidewalks and bicycle facilities on Morreene Road from Neal Road to Erwin Road. The total length is 1.5 miles and the design project budget is $842,162.
The improvements include sidewalks and bicycle facilities. Final designs are now underway and will be added to this web site when available.

Project Status
Kimley-Horn of Raleigh, NC has been hired as the design firm to prepare plans, obtain permits, and hold informational meetings with stakeholders.
The City of Durham Public Works Department has prepared designs for pedestrian facilities along Morreene Road from Neal Road to Erwin Road. The community input meeting map can be found under the Project Information on the right side of this page.
Two community input meetings were held on March 3, 2018 and October 25, 2018 respectively.
Currently the 100% plans have been approved by NCDOT and the City has hired Telics to assist with the right-of-way acquisition process.
