The City of Durham is proud to be joined in this effort by the Durham Housing Authority (DHA), Durham County, affordable housing developers and local non-profit partner organizations. Forever Home, Durham is creating new, affordable housing opportunities, updating and preserving existing housing, and enhancing housing security for thousands of low-to-moderate income residents. Guiding this effort is the Affordable Housing Implementation Committee (AHIC), a volunteer group formed by the Durham City Council to advise the Community Development Department (CDD) on program investments and spending accountability. We thank all our community partners, along with the local voters and taxpayers who made this program possible, for their collaboration in building a better Durham.
