Project Description

Fire & EMS Station 18 is a new Durham Public Safety Facility housing elements of both the Durham Fire Department and Durham County Emergency Medical Services (EMS). The building incorporates Durham’s new prototype design, providing enhanced comfort, safety and security for DFD and EMS staff, with adequate space and amenities in a modern, sustainable facility.

Engagement

The new facility’s main purpose is to serve the public and residents of Durham. Not only will the Fire Department and EMS staff provide emergency services, but will work to educate the community in fire safety and public health.
