Durham police are investigating a kidnapping and robbery that happened earlier this week. Three women told officers they were walking in the 2000 block of North Roxboro Street around 10:45 p.m. when a man armed with a gun approached them, forced them into a car belonging to one victim and demanded money. The victims were forced to drive to various locations within the city to withdraw cash. The suspect got out of the car on N.C. 55 and fled. The victims were not harmed.
The suspect is described as a black male in his mid to late 20s. He had a dark complexion and was 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall. He had a muscular build and short hair. He had tattoos on both sides of his neck and a tattoo of a skull with a cigarette in its mouth on his upper right forearm. He was wearing a gray T-shirt with a UNC logo on the chest.
