Durham police investigators are trying to locate Gadist Claiborne who is wanted on robbery and conspiracy charges.
Claiborne, 25, of Durham is wanted in connection with a robbery and shooting that happened on September 3 on Wabash Street in McDougald Terrace. A 25-year-old male was shot in the leg and pistol-whipped on his head by two men. The suspects stole cash from him and fled. The 25-year-old victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Claiborne is also charged with attempting to rob a woman of her vehicle at gunpoint on September 6. The victim was pistol-whipped during the attempted robbery.
Claiborne is wanted for robbery with a dangerous weapon, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of felony conspiracy. He is also wanted for failure to appear on prior charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
