Durham police investigators are trying to locate Deshawn Devonte Evans who is charged with committing two armed robberies of businesses during the summer.
Evans, 23, of Durham is charged with robbing the Trinity Food Mart at 403 East Trinity Avenue on June 25. A man armed with a gun entered the business around 9:45 p.m., pointed a gun at an employee and demanded money. The man fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Evans is also charged with robbing Metro PCS at 3438 Hillsborough Road on July 6. Two men entered the business around 6:45 p.m. and robbed an employee at gunpoint of cash and several phones.
Evans is wanted on two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Investigator A. Cristaldi at (919) 560-4440, ext. 29283, Investigator K.
