Four in Custody as Durham Police Investigate Robberies
The Durham Police Department (DPD) is investigating multiple robberies that occurred early Tuesday morning. Four people are in custody following a vehicle pursuit that began in Durham shortly before 4 a.m. on N.C. Highway 55 and ended on New Hill Holleman Road in in Apex.
The pursuit ended when the vehicle, believed to be stolen out of Cary, crashed into a tree. The five occupants sustained minor injuries. Four were taken into custody, while the fifth suspect fled on foot.
Investigators are actively investigating multiple robberies to determine if the incidents are connected. Robberies occurred at the following locations:
2500 block of Chapel Hill Road (with gunshot wound)
Intersection of Holloway Street and Park Avenue
1000 block of W. Main Street
