Durham Teen Arrested on Robbery Charges
A Durham teen has been arrested and charged with robbing a food delivery driver last week on Wadesboro Street.
The delivery driver told officers he went to make a delivery at an apartment complex in the 900 block of Wadesboro Street around 5:20 p.m. on January 3. One teen approached him and asked if he was looking for an apartment. A second teen armed with a shotgun then appeared and the teens took the driver’s phone, keys, cash and order of Chinese food. The teens were last seen running behind an apartment building.
Investigators arrested Daravyion Deshawn Jenkins, 16, of Durham on January 5 and charged him with robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was placed in Durham County Jail under a $250,000 bond. The second teen has not been charged at this time.
