Wanted Person – Jairus Ensley
Durham police investigators are trying to locate Jairus Ensley who is wanted in connection with two shootings – one in August 2015 and one in December 2017.
Officers responded to a shooting call in the 800 block of Ridgeway Avenue shortly before 10 p.m. on August 12, 2015. Officers found a 31-year-old male who had been shot in the stomach during an argument. Ensley was charged with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting injury in that case.
Ensley, 20, is also charged with shooting and robbing a man on December 22, 2017, near the intersection of West Main Street and Hicks Street. Officers were dispatched to the call shortly after 2 p.m. They learned that a 28-year-old man had been shot during an alleged robbery inside a vehicle. Ensley was charged with robbery with a deadly weapon and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury in this case.
