Community Resource Unit to Host Annual Safety Workshop, April 28
Registration Deadline is Monday, April 23
DURHAM, N.C. – The Durham Police Department Community Resource Unit (CRU) is holding its annual
safety workshop on Saturday, April 28, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Carolina Theatre, 309 W.
Morgan Street. Session topics will include: Police 2 Citizen (P2C), Telephone Response Unit (TRU),
Community Crime Map, Bike and Pedestrian Safety, Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) and Police Body
Worn Cameras.
Participation is limited to the first 150 persons who confirm attendance by close of business Monday,
April 23. Online registration is accessible via the department website – www.durhampolice.com. On the
left side of the home page, click “Community Resources,” scroll down to “Online Forms,” then click
“2018 Community Workshop Form.” Inquiries about workshop registration should be directed to Officer
