Durham police are investigating a bank robbery and shooting that happened Wednesday afternoon.
Officers were dispatched at 2:45 p.m. to a robbery at SunTrust at 2008 East N.C. 54 Highway. When officers arrived, they found a bank teller who had been shot in the arm during the robbery. The teller was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening at this time.
The robber fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
The robber is described as a black male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was wearing a wig with long dreadlocks, sunglasses, a pink jacket and black pants.
