Durham Police Investigate Homicide
Durham police are investigating a homicide that happened on Suffolk Street on Friday morning.
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call in the 3600 block of Suffolk Street shortly before 10 a.m. When they arrived, they found a woman and a baby dead inside the house. A male who had been in the house was transported to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
It appears to be a domestic-related incident, based on preliminary information.

The victims have been identified as 20-year-old Zhytila Wilkins and her daughter, 10-month-old Ruia Reams.
The male has been identified as Ramir Reams, 22, of Durham. He remains hospitalized. Warrants have been taken out charging him with two counts of murder. He also has outstanding warrants for two counts of injury to property and one count of misdemeanor larceny from an incident that happened in December 2018.
Ruia Reams was the daughter of Ramir Reams.
