[ARCHIVED] Tennis Players From Across North Carolina Gather to Meet Their Match in Durham

Who:         Durham Parks and Recreation and the United States Tennis Association of North Carolina (USTA)

When:      Thursday, June 27 – Sunday, June 30

Where:     Various sites in Durham

FAST FACTS

  • This is the first time in history Durham will host the 2019 USTA NC 40 & Over State Championship Games. The tournament was last held in Winston Salem.
  • In May 2018, Durham submitted the two-year bid and won.
  • This event received funding support from the Durham Sports Commission.
  • Over 1,200 players from across the state will meet their match at 14 different sites to include parks, schools, and private facilities. 
  • To advance to the championship games, participants must have competed in their local area games and must be a current USTA member.
