[ARCHIVED] Police Department to Hold Police Academy Graduation September 18

DURHAM, N.C. - On Wednesday, September 18, 2019, the Durham Police Department (DPD) will hold graduation exercises for Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) academy class No. 49 at 6 p.m. at the Durham Convention Center, 301 W. Morgan Street. The keynote address will be delivered by Representative Zack Hawkins of the North Carolina General Assembly. Media and the general public are invited to attend the graduation exercises.

Nineteen recruits will graduate after successfully completing 24 weeks of tactical and classroom training. A program highlight is the presentation of awards for highest class scores in academics, driving, firearms and physical fitness.
