Investigators Asking for Information on November 2019 Shooting
Durham police investigators are asking for information about a shooting that happened on November 28, 2019 (Thanksgiving Day) on Cheek Road.
The shooting happened around 7:40 p.m., when the victims were in a vehicle on Cheek Road near Hardee Street. The victims told officers they saw a silver car stopped at a light behind them. Several shots were fired into the victims’ vehicle, seriously injuring a man and a woman. A juvenile in the vehicle suffered a graze wound to her wrist. The woman has recovered from her injuries, but the man is still undergoing treatment.
Investigators believe the shots were fired from a rifle by the occupant(s) of the silver vehicle, which had dark tinted windows.
