Durham Police Investigate Shooting
Durham Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened on Plum Street shortly before 10:00 am.
Durham Officers responded to a report of a gunshot wound in the 400 block of Plum St. Upon arrival, they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. The male was transported to the hospital where he later died.

Durham Man Arrested on Murder Charge
A Durham man has been arrested and charged with murder in the fatal shooting of 42-year-old Nathan Futrell Saturday morning on Blacknall Street near Plum Street.
Officers were dispatched to a gunshot wound call shortly before 10 a.m. on Saturday. They found Futrell lying near the intersection of Blacknall and Plum streets. Futrell was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
Investigators believe the shooting happened in the 200 block of Blacknall Street.
Investigators arrested Stuvon Aitrae Snipes, 22, of Durham and charged him with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He has been placed in Durham County Jail without bond.
