Approximately 10,000 feet of waterlines within the American Tobacco vicinity area will be replaced, and approximately 4,600 feet of new transmission main will be installed to improve water service throughout the project area and City. Additionally, approximately 7,500 feet of existing gravity sewer pipes will be rehabilitated with a cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) liner. The project is estimated to cost approximately $9.5 million and will be paid for by previously authorized capital improvement program (CIP) funds. The project’s design phase is complete, with construction planned to begin September 2021. Construction is anticipated to last approximately 1.5 years.
