American Tobacco District Waterline Replacement – Phase 1 Project Update and Two-Week Look Ahead

Planned Road / Lane Closures will occur as follows:
- Week of 1/11:
- Full closure of Willard Street between Blackwell Street and Julian Carr Street.
- Westbound lane closure of Yancey Street between Willard Street and Duke Street.
- Westbound lane closure of Jackson Street between Willard Street and Duke Street.
- Week of 1/18:
- Full closure of Willard Street between Blackwell Street and Julian Carr Street.
- Westbound lane closure of Yancey Street between Willard Street and Duke Street.
- Westbound lane closure of Jackson Street between Willard Street and Duke Street.
Week of January 11, 2021:
- Beginning mid-week, Willard Street between Blackwell Street and Julian Carr Street will have a road closure to accommodate sanitary sewer installation. Prior to this change, the current northbound lane closure along Willard Street between Julian Carr Street and Jackson Street will remain in place.
- Traffic control signs and markings will be used for the Willard Street detour.
- Access to the ATC South Deck via Willard Street will be temporarily closed to accommodate installations. Detour signs directing traffic to access the deck via Julian Carr will be used.
- Sidewalk traffic will be disrupted.
- Noise levels in excess of the current City noise ordinance are anticipated during work hours.
- Planned work hours are 7 AM to 7 PM.
- No water or sewer service disruptions are anticipated.
- Yancey Street between Willard Street and Duke Street will have a westbound lane closure to accommodate waterline installation.
- Traffic control signs and markings will be used for the Yancey Street westbound detour.
- Lane shifts with flaggers will be utilized for traffic control while work is taking place in intersections and at waterline connection locations.
- Sidewalk traffic will be disrupted.
- Noise levels in excess of the current City noise ordinance are anticipated during work hours.
- Planned work hours are 7 AM to 7 PM.
- No water or sewer service disruptions are anticipated.
- Jackson Street between Willard Street and Duke Street will have a westbound lane closure to accommodate waterline installation.
- Note: Westbound Jackson St and Westbound Yancey St will not be closed at the same time.
- Traffic control signs and markings will be used for the Jackson Street westbound detour.
- Lane shifts with flaggers will be utilized for traffic control while work is taking place in intersections and at waterline connection locations.

Saturday – Sunday January 16-17, 2021:
- No work will take place on Saturday or Sunday.
Week of January 18, 2021:
