Durham FY 2021-2022 Annual Action Plan
“Needs” Public Hearing
March 1, 2021 – 7:00 PM
A public hearing (pdf) will be held by the Durham City Council to receive citizen comments on the needs in Durham neighborhoods. It is envisioned that these needs will be addressed through the use of federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME) Consortium, Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA) funds, as contained in the upcoming FY 2021-2022 Annual Action Plan.
The U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has not yet notified the City of final entitlement amounts for FY 2021-2022. For planning purposes, the City expects to receive approximately $2,000,000 in CDBG, $1,100,000 in HOME Consortium, $174,000 in ESG, and $483,000 in HOPWA funds.
A virtual City Council meeting is scheduled in lieu of an in-person meeting. Instructions for online participation will be provided at a later date on the Public Hearings (link) Page of the City website.
