DURHAM, N.C. – The City of Durham, Community Development Department is soliciting proposals from non-profit entities to provide application support to low-income households seeking emergency rent and utility support from a new City/County Emergency Rental Assistance Program. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate capacity to serve low income households, particularly those that may struggle to submit applications through a web-based portal because of language barriers, limited education, limited access to the internet, or other challenges.
On Tuesday, March 2, 2021, the Community Development Department released the Request for Proposals (RFP) for Durham Emergency Rental Assistance Program Application Support (PDF). All projects and funding amounts for this opportunity are subject to a competitive award process. Proposals must be received electronically by 4:00 pm on Tuesday, March 16, 2021. Proposals received after the deadline date and time will be deemed ineligible.
Interested parties were strongly encouraged to register and attend the Pre-Proposal Workshop on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 1:00 pm to receive additional information.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the workshop was held virtually.
