Draft 2021-2022 Annual Action Plan

April 19, 2021 – 7:00 PM

A Public Hearing (PDF) will be held by the Durham City Council to receive citizen comments on the Draft 2021-2022 Annual Action Plan (AAP).  The AAP specifies how the City of Durham will address housing and community development needs as described in the Five-Year Consolidated Plan through the use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME) Consortium funds, Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds, and Housing Opportunities for People With AIDS (HOPWA) funds.  According to the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the City expects to receive approximately $2,107,077 in CDBG, $1,199,161 in HOME Consortium, $174,344 in ESG, and $542,712 in HOPWA funds.  

The Draft 2021-2022 AAP will be available for public review from March 19, 2021 – April 19, 2021, on the Community Development Department website located at http://durhamnc.gov/445/Community-Development.   A virtual City Council meeting is scheduled in lieu of an in-person meeting.  Instructions for online participation will be provided at a later date on the Public Hearings Page of the City website here: https://durhamnc.gov/3012/Public-Hearings.  Written comments concerning the Draft 2021-2022 AAP may be sent to [email protected].  For additional information, contact Wilmur Conyers, Planning and Performance Administrator, at (919) 560-4570 ext. 22277 or via email at [email protected]
