Durham police are investigating a fatal stabbing that was reported Thursday evening on Charles Street.
Officers were dispatched to a stabbing call in the 2300 block of Charles Street around 5:30 p.m. When they arrived, they found an adult male stabbed to death inside a residence.
Based on preliminary investigation, this does not appear to have been a random act and investigators do not believe there is a further danger to the public.
No charges have been filed at this time.
