East Durham Water, Sewer, and Stormwater – Phase 1 Project Update

Project Update – March 18, 2022
 Phase 1A is in 90% design development. City Contractors have begun staking proposed easement boundaries, and the City has begun easement negotiations with property owners. Proposed easements are shown in the Phase 1A Belt Street Area and Phase 1A Lincoln Street Area figures provided with the FAQ.

January 11 public meeting
A public meeting for this project was held on Tuesday, January 11. The project manager for the City of Durham and the engineering project manager for Kimley-Horn, Inc. provided an overview of the project, including information related to the project sschedule, the need for the project, the scope of the work, the impacts to residents, businesses, drivers, and pedestrians.
