With the forecasted extreme heat, the Solid Waste Management Collections team will begin daily curbside collections earlier than usual to avoid the worst heat of the day. We request that carts be at the curb no later than 5:00 am until further notice.
The heat index is forecast to peak near 110 - 115 degrees several days this week, and the longer term forecast calls for more of the same. For the safety of our collection crews, we are trying to complete garbage, yard waste, bulky and recycling collections each day before the worst of the afternoon heat. Having your carts out by 5 am enables us to begin collections earlier and complete them earlier. Thank you for understanding and helping to keep our frontline workers safe.
