Durham Water has been receiving calls about water bills being higher than normal. This is likely due to the annual stormwater fee that appears on this month's bill. There is a way to prorate this fee over 12 months. More on that below.
We have also been receiving calls that customers are unable to view their water bill online. We are working with out third-party vendor to correct this. If you need a copy of your bill, submit a request to Durham One Call using this link: Durham One Call - Make a Service Request | Durham, NC (durhamnc.gov)
Once there, select Water Management from the left hand menu (at the bottom of the list) then click "Other Water Billing Related Concern" and complete the info to request a copy of your bill. Once that request is complete, you can also request to make your stormwater fee monthly, instead of an annual fee.
Simple start another request, select Storm Water Management from the left hand menu (towards the bottom) and then click "Stormwater Billing - Switch to Monthly Billing" and complete the info to make your request.
