Public Services to Assist Households Experiencing Homelessness 
Pre-submittal Workshop:  May 3, 2023, at 10:00 A.M.  
 Proposals Due:  June 9, 2023, at 11:59 P.M. 


The City of Durham, Community Development Department is soliciting proposals for projects that support shelter, housing, and services to assist households experiencing homelessness in Durham in calendar years 2024, 2025, and 2026. To be considered, the proposed project or service must: 1. Provide a service or project that the City itself does not currently provide; and 2. Contribute significantly to the quality of life of all City residents.  The expected amount of funding to be available is approximately $668,871 annually.  Community Development Block Grants, Emergency Solutions Grants and City of Durham Dedicated Housing Funds will be the sources of funding for this solicitation.  

On Monday, May 1, 2023, the Community Development Department plans to release the Request for Proposals via Neighborly Software the department’s online application management system.  All Proposals must be submitted via Neighborly Software no later than 11:59 P.M. on June 9, 2023.  Proposals received after the deadline date and time will not be accepted and will be deemed ineligible.  Interested parties must register as a user of the online application management system at the following link: Neighborly Software in order to submit applications for this solicitation.
