DURHAM, N.C. –  The City of Durham Water Management team (Durham Water) continued delivering clean and safe drinking water to more than 309,000 residents while remaining in 100% compliance with all federal drinking water standards according to data presented in the latest annual water quality report.

Durham Water routinely monitors more than 150 contaminants and achieved 100% compliance with all drinking water standards with zero water quality violations in 2022. The 2022 Annual Water Quality Report, titled Tomorrow's Water Starts Today, outlines the journey water takes from source to tap. It highlights how Durham’s professionals are working to produce water that is healthy, fresh, and tasty: today and for generations of Durham residents and businesses ahead.

Each year, Durham Water produces the report to summarize information regarding Durham’s water sources, any detected contaminants, and compliance and educational information for the calendar year. The report is now available in English and Spanish on the department’s webpage. Customers may also request a printed copy of the latest annual report by calling (919) 560-4381 or by email.
