Beamon Street Assemblage - Request For Proposals

Pre-Proposal Meeting:  September 12, 2023, 10:00 A.M. EST
Proposals Due: November 15, 2023, 3:00 P.M. EST


The City of Durham is soliciting Request for Proposals (RFP) from qualified developers for the homeownership development of the Beamon Street Assemblage in the Southside neighborhood, located at 105 East Piedmont Avenue Durham NC, 27701. The Beamon Street Assemblage is a City owned parcel consisting of 3.91 acres. The development will have a requirement that 51% of the constructed units must be marketed to first-time homebuyers earning 80% or below of the Area Median Income.   

On Friday, August 25, 2023, the City of Durham will release the Request for Proposals (RFP) for all interested parties.   All Proposals must be received by the deadline date and time of Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at 3:00 P.M. EST.  Fax, email, or oral submissions of Proposals will not be accepted.  Proposals received after the deadline date and time will be deemed ineligible.

Interested parties are strongly encouraged to attend a Pre-Proposal Meeting on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. EST, which will be held at the City of Durham Community Development Department located at 516 Rigsbee Avenue, Durham, NC  27701.   To attend the Pre-Proposal Meeting, organizations must register in advance no later than 3:00 P.M. A copy of the RFP is available for review and can be downloaded on the City of Durham website via the following link: Beamon Street Assemblage - RFP.

All questions concerning the RFP must be sent and received no later than Friday, September 29, 2023, by 3:00 P.M.
