A Public Hearing will be held by the Durham City Council to receive citizen comments on the “Needs” in Durham neighborhoods.  It is envisioned that these “Needs” will be addressed through the use of federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) Consortium, Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA) funds, as to be contained in the upcoming FY 2024-2025 Annual Action Plan.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has not yet notified the City of final entitlement amounts for FY 2024-2025.   For planning purposes, the City expects to receive approximately $2,030,000 in CDBG, $1,300,000 in HOME Consortium, $180,000 in ESG, and $1,060,000 in HOPWA funds.

The Public Hearing is scheduled on Monday, December 18, 2023, at 7:00 P.M. during the Durham City Council Meeting.
