On Tuesday, March 29th, the Department of Water Management responded to a potential blockage of a sewer main on Main St., between Corcoran St. and Mangum St. Crews working overnight have been investigating the cause and extent of the blockage, and considering strategies to clear the blockage. It is now believed the cause may be from recent construction activities in the vicinity (unrelated to City projects). A contractor performing work for the City near the area has initiated mobilizing to this project area.
The extent of the blockage may be as long as as 300 feet and will require closure of Main St., between Corcoran and Mangum, for an extended period of time. Pedestrian access is expected to be maintained along Main St.
