The City of Durham Human Relations Division of the Neighborhood Improvement Services Department is hosting the Fair Housing: INCLUSION WORKS! Forum. This Forum is designed to educate and enlighten housing providers and disability advocates on the federal and local fair housing laws with regard to the protections they afford to persons with disabilities. Topics will include Reasonable Accommodations, Reasonable Modifications, Construction & Design mandates and Universal Design. Presenters include Jeff Dillman from Legal Aid of NC, Denene Hinton from Alliance Behavioral Healthcare, Yasmin Farahi from Disability Rights NC and Richard Duncan, Executive Director of the R.L. Mace Universal Design Institute. Keynote address will be delivered by Kim Lan Grout, Founder of the Redefining Disabled Project.
