October is Shower Better Month, a time to encourage yourself and others to conserve water by taking shorter and smarter showers. In support of this annual effort, the City of Durham’s Department of Water Management is hosting a pop-up event this Thursday, October 20 at Northgate Mall. Between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., we’ll be giving away free EPA WaterSense labeled showerheads to the first 100 people who stop by (limit one free showerhead per household – additional showerheads will be available for purchase at the reduced cost of $3). You can find us at the Community Event Cart, located inside Door #7 next to The Cookie Store.
Ask For the WaterSense Label
Just like ENERGY STAR labeled devices help you cut back on electrical usage, items with the WaterSense label help you cut back on water usage. In just one year, a WaterSense labeled showerhead can save the average family the amount of water it takes to wash more than 70 loads of laundry!
And, WaterSense is much more than a measure of water saved. It’s also a performance statement, which means you’ll enjoy the same level of spray force and water coverage you’ve come to expect with your traditional showerhead. Saving water without sacrificing performance … now that’s the way to shower better!
