[ARCHIVED] Jr. Fire Marshal Program Wants You!

The Durham Fire Department has been hosting the Jr. Fire Marshal program for over 10 years.  We hope that this year will be better than ever as we partner with Durham Parks and Recreation, Durham County Sheriff's Department, and Durham 911.  This program is for kids ages 11 through 15 and takes place at The Community Family Life & Recreation Center at Lyon Park (1309 Halley St in Durham).  It's happening during Durham Public School's Spring Break week from April 10-15 daily from 9 am until 4 pm.

Shown below are a few of the activities that you can expect, but be sure to check out highlights from the 2016 Jr. Fire Marshal Academy

  • Smoke Trailer Activities
  • Anti-Drunk Driving Tests
  • How to Extinguish Fires
  • What to Do in Case of Fire
