The Durham Police Department Community Resource Unit (CRU) is holding its annual Community Workshop on Saturday, April 1, 2017, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Carolina Theatre, 309 W. Morgan Street. Session topics will include: Synthetic Drugs, Burglary Awareness, Court Watch, Victim Services, Citizen Observer Patrol and You & Five 0 - an engaging presentation on police protocols and citizen rights. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet department executives, district commanders and new community outreach officers (namely the department’s East Durham, LGBTQ and Hispanic liaisons).
Participation is limited to the first 150 persons who confirm attendance by close of business Friday, March 17. Online registration is accessible via the department website – www.durhampolice.com.
