Latta Park Rezoning Project UpdateThe applicants proposing the Latta Park rezoning in North Durham have established a website where residents can go to provide feedback on the proposed project. The website is set up to collect the community's thoughts, opinions, experiences, and reflections related to the history of the site. Safer-at-Home Order in Effect - Planning and Development Services (DSC) Continue Most Operations OnlineThe Development Services Center (DSC) lobby has been closed to walk-in customers due to COVID-19, and customer service, development review, and inspections services have continued remotely. After further assessing the safety and demand for in-person services in light of alternative telephone, email, and web-based services available, the DSC lobby will remain closed until further notice.
If a service cannot be provided remotely, an in-person option may be arranged in advance with strict adherence to social distancing standards and use of a face covering. Check out Draft Comprehensive Plan Goals As residents have been reviewing draft Community Objectives, staff has drafted overarching goals to accompany the objectives. To do this, staff organized the objectives by topic and then drafted goal statements to address the overall priorities that are reflected in the objectives. The goals are being reviewed through the resident Outreach Team and by the Engagement Ambassadors to ensure they are accurately reflecting resident perspectives.
