Durham City CouncilMonday, November 1, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. Virtual Session The Durham City Council will hold a virtual public meeting on November 1, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. to hear the following requests:
Annexation - Griffin Place (BDG1900015) located at 2308 East Geer Street, 2315 Ferrell Road, and 2402 Carpenter Road, is a request for a voluntary non-contiguous annexation of three parcels totaling 82.84 acres.
Zoning Map Change - Griffin Place (Z1900027) located at 2308 East Geer Street, 2315 Ferrell Road, 2402 Carpenter Road, is a request to change the zoning from Rural Residential (RR), Residential Suburban-20 (RS-20), Industrial Light (IL) to Planned Development Residential 5.578 (PDR 5.578) with a proposed change to the Future Land Use Map from Office, Low Density Residential, Industrial, Recreation and Open Space to Low-Medium Density Residential, Recreation and Open Space.

The Board of County Commissioners will hold a virtual meeting on November 8, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. No items will be presented by City-County Planning. Residents wishing to comment on the items sign up by emailing the Durham County Clerk to the Board at [email protected] no later than 2:00 p.m. the day of the meeting. The call-in information for the meeting will be shared to those individuals after they have emailed the Clerk. The virtual option aligns with social distancing requirements which ensures the safety of citizens who wish to participate as well as Board members and Durham County Government staff. Citizens who wish to view the BOCC meeting can watch it live on the County's YouTube channel. Replays of the meeting are available on the Durham Television Network on Spectrum Channel 8, AT&T U-verse Channel 99, Google Fiber Channel 8 and Frontier Communications Channel 70.
